AssoTrencher V Mk5 marks the next step in Asso.subsea’s long-standing commitment to delivering advanced subsea trenching solutions. Developed as the fifth evolution in the AssoTrencher V series, the Mk5 is engineered to perform across a wide range of seabed environments, with a focus on shallow waters and tidal environments.
Equipped with a custom-designed jetting-mode cable guide system, the Mk5 offers enhanced burial precision, particularly in variable or challenging soil conditions. The trencher supports a broad range of interchangeable tools, including cutting chain & jetting swords configurations, and features an updated track design for improved weight distribution and traction.
A modular buoyancy system, available as an add-on, allows further optimization for ultra-soft soils or shallow water operations. Incorporating a diverless deployment system refined through prior generations, the Mk5 is fully aligned with modern offshore safety and performance standards.
The trencher is scheduled to enter service this summer in the North Sea, reinforcing our field-proven track record and continuous investment in specialized cable protection technologies.
